Vet chroma T4
Summary
Thyroxine (T4) is one of two major hormones produced by the thyroid gland (the other is called triiodothyronine, or T3). T4 is a useful marker for the diagnosis of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism in dog and cat.
Test Principle
Please follow procedure on the Screening of Vet chroma™ reader.
- Make a puncture on the top of the detection buffer tube by inserting an empty capillary cap.
- Transfer 50㎕ of sample (Canine, Feline serum/plasma/control) using a micropipette to a tube containing the Detection buffer tube (punched tube).
- Assemble the capillary cap and the tube into one. Shake the 5 times or more until the sample out of the capillary cap by inversion. Incubate the sample mixture at room temperature for 5 minutes.
- After 5minutes, remove the cap off the top of assembled tube. Discard 2 drops of reagent onto the paper towel before applying to the cartridge. Load only 2 drops of the mixture onto the sample well of the cartridge. And Leave the Cartridge on the Vet chroma™ holder.
- Instrument for Vet chroma™ tests will start automatically scanning the sample-loaded cartridge after 10minutes.
- Read the test result on the display screen of the instrument for Vet chroma™ tests.
