Product Features

The assay kit is for determination of Cholinesterase (CHE). Cholinesterase (CHE) is divided into two groups. One is metabolized in grey matter of central nervous system, sympathetic ganglion, hematid and so on. The other is meta-bolized in plasma, liver, uterus and so on. Cholinesterase (CHE) activity is disposed in patients with acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, liver sclerosis, CHE activity is the most important indicator of degree of intoxicationby organophosphorus pesticide.

Assay Principle

Butyrylthiocholine is hydrolyzed to give thiocholine and butyrate by Cholinesterase. The react-ion between thiocholine and ferricyanide gives ferrocyanide. The rate of decrease in absorbance at 405 nm is directly proportionalto cholines-terase activity.
