Vet chroma Progesterone
Vet chroma™ Progesterone is a Fluorescence Immunoassay (FIA) for the quantitative determination of progesterone in canine serum/plasma. It is useful as an aid in management and monitoring of the cause of infertility, track ovulation, diagnose an ectopic or failing pregnancy, and monitor the health of a pregnancy.
Summary
Progesterone also known as P4 (pregn-4-ene-3, 20-dione) is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy (supports gestation) and embryogenesis of humans and another species. Progesterone can be used to determine ovulation time for breeding in female of dogs.
Test Principle
Please follow procedure on the Screening of Vet chroma™ reader.
- Make a puncture on the top of the detection buffer tube by inserting an empty capillary cap.
- Transfer 100㎕ of sample (Canine, Feline serum/plasma/control) using a micropipette to a tube containing the Detection buffer tube (punched tube).
- Assemble the capillary cap and the tube into one. Shake the 5 times or more until the sample out of the capillary cap by inversion.
- Remove the cap off the top of assembled tube. Discard 2 drops of reagent onto the paper towel before applying to the cartridge. Load only 2 drops of the mixture onto the sample well of the cartridge. And Leave the Cartridge on the Vet chroma™ holder
- Instrument for Vet chroma™ tests will start automatically scanning the sample-loaded cartridge after 15 minutes.
- Read the test result on the display screen of the instrument for Vet chroma™ tests.
